GAC Honda launches Crider Sport Hybrid
Sino-Japanese joint venture GAC Honda launched the Crider Sport Hybrid sedan online Wednesday. The model includes a 1.5 liter Atkinson engine and third-generation i-MMD two-motor hybrid system, generating a maximum output of 113 kW. Its fuel consumption per 100 kilometers stands at 4 liters. The model is 4,756 mm long, 1,804 mm wide and 1,509 mm tall. With an extended wheelbase of 2,730 mm, it offers more legroom for both drivers and passengers. Available in three colors, the model has four variants. They feature an 7-inch digital dashboard, an 8-inch touch screen console as well as Honda's CONNECT 2.0 infotainment system. The Honda SENSING system offers a number of driving-assist functions including lane keep and deviation warning. It is priced from 139,800 to 169,800 yuan. The Crider Sport Hybrid is the latest member of GAC Honda's hybrid family, which already includes Honda's Accord, Odyssey and Breeze as well as Acura's CDX. With five hybrid models, GAC Honda has the most such vehicles in China. Last year, sales of its hybrid models totaled 66,686 in China, up 256 percent year-on-year.
