Timeline

・In October 2008, the first World Jiangmen Youth Conference was held in Jiangmen, Guangdong province.

・In November 2010, the second World Jiangmen Youth Conference was held in Macao. Sponsored by the Macao Jiangmen Communal Society, the event was themed "Gathering in Haojiang and Seeking Development Together". It held activities including youth forums, interactive salons and economic negotiations. The young people exchanged ideas and discussed development plans together.

・In June 2012, the third World Jiangmen Youth Conference was held in Sabah, Malaysia, with the theme "Meeting in Sabah and Creating Brilliance Together". Sponsored by the Siyi Federation of Jiangmen, Sabah, the conference was the first to be held abroad.

・In December 2014, the fourth World Jiangmen Youth Conference was held in Hong Kong with the theme "Elites Meet in Xiangjiang, Endeavour to Create Glory". During the event, domestic and foreign experts, scholars and business representatives discussed the development of the world. The conference established an all-media platform by applying new media to release the latest information on Jiangmen.

・In September 2016, the fifth World Jiangmen Youth Conference was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Sponsored by the Indonesian Cantonese Association, the theme of the conference was "Gather in Jakarta, Share New Opportunities". It aimed at guiding the overseas Chinese youths and business elites to develop their own careers.

・In November 2018, the sixth World Jiangmen Youth Conference with the theme "Embracing the Greater Bay Area Economy and Achieving Youth Dreams" was held in Los Angeles, in the United States. Thousands of representatives from Jiangmen and representatives from more than 30 countries gathered in LA to share ideas and seek common development.
