SAIC Maxus' first full-size electric MPV
Chinese carmaker SAIC Maxus launched its first full-size electric multipurpose vehicle, the MIFA 9, on Wednesday.
The model, available in three six-seat variants and four seven-seat ones, is priced from 279,900 yuan ($41,000) to 419,900 yuan.
It measures 5,270 millimeters in length, 2,000 mm in width and 1,840 mm in height.
It has a wheelbase as long as 3,200 mm, which enables legroom of up to 980 mm for passengers in the third row.
Built on the new-generation E2 architecture, the MIFA 9 can run up to 560 kilometers on one charge, and it can be 80 percent charged in around 30 minutes.
In terms of smart features, the model features SAIC Motor's Level 2 driving assist system.
Among other things, it can navigate itself on expressways and park itself.
