Biographies of executives at AREP

Raphaël Ménard studied at the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture. He began his career at RFR company. In 2003, he founded Elioth, a company made up of designers specializing in low-carbon innovation (acquired by Egis group in 2011). In 2014, he created 169-architecture. He is also a lecturer on the postgraduate program in Post-Carbon Architecture at the Marne-la-Vallée School of Architecture. He theorized his practice in numerous publications, including his PhD thesis Energy, Matter, Architecture. In 2018, he joined AREP as chairman of the Board.

Philippe Bihouix studied at the Ecole Centrale de Paris. He began his career as a construction manager in a general contracting firm. In 2009, he joined SNCF group to manage the European rail freight activities. He gained experience in many industrial sectors before becoming a leading expert on non-renewable resources and low-tech solutions. He has been appointed to the AREP board of directors as managing director in order to implement the company's new strategy and contribute to the sector' s ecological transformation.

Luc Neouze studied at the Architecture School Paris Val de Seine and the University of North London. He joined AREP in 2001 as a design director and was in charge of AREP Chengdu from 2004 to 2008. He was appointed general manager of AREP China from 2012 to 2021 where he codirected the office with Jiang Xingxing. He works toward a proper integration of public transportation infrastructures in the urban environment.

Luc Neouze, AREP International director

Jiang Xingxing studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Architecture of Strasbourg and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. He worked for China North East Architectural Design Institute and Huatong Design International. In 2006, he became design director at the International Department of AREP in France. He was appointed general manager of AREP China in 2012. He has extensive experience in designing large transportation hubs.
