In 2016, AREP and China Railway Engineering Consulting Group jointly won the bid for six stations on the 2022 Winter Olympic Games line: Qinghe Station, Badaling Great Wall Station, Zhangjiakou Station, Huailai Station, Xiahuayuan North Station and Taizicheng Station. This line serves now after the big event to bring the citizens of Beijing to enjoy more in the northwest part of the mountain scenic areas. After four years of joint efforts, Chinese first driverless green high-speed railway line, Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, was officially put into use.

According to China Railway Group, Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway is the first intelligent railway designed and constructed with BIM Technology, and the intelligent Fuxing EMU has realized automatic driving with a speed of 350 km/h for the first time.

The opening of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway sets a milestone in the process of China's railway modernization and opens a new chapter of the world's intelligent railway.

The Qinghe Station became a landmark in Haidian district because of the roof shape.

It opens up the waiting room view toward the mountains on the west side and blends with the existing buildings height on the east side.

The station not only serves the city as a transportation hub but also allows pedestrians to cross this big infrastructure with a public corridor to connect the district on each of its sides.
