President reaffirms support for sound relations with ROK

Editor's note: President Xi Jinping held a series of bilateral talks on Friday on the sidelines of the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Lima, Peru. The following are the highlights of the talks.

President Xi Jinping said on Friday that regardless of how the global situation changes, China and the Republic of Korea should stay committed to their original aspirations when establishing diplomatic relations and continue advancing on the path of good neighborliness and friendship.

Xi made the remarks while meeting with ROK President Yoon Suk-yeol. He also expressed China's congratulations to and support for the ROK in assuming the role of APEC host next year.
