China-Vietnam freight train volumes up
Freight volumes on China-Vietnam cross-border trains saw explosive growth in 2024, the China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co Ltd said.
A staggering 1,153 percent year-on-year growth in freight volumes was seen, with a total of 19,670 twenty-foot equivalent units of goods shipped from South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the bureau reported.
The freight trains reach 25 provinces, regions and municipalities across China, with cross-border goods covering multiple members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, including Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, significantly boosting trade between China and ASEAN.
