French foreign minister Barrot to pay a visit
French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot will visit China from Thursday to Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Monday. Barrot will hold talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during which the two sides will exchange views on implementing the consensuses reached by the two heads of state, advancing the development of China-France and China-European Union relations, among other topics of mutual interest. "China looks forward to working with France through this visit to strengthen political mutual trust, adhere to openness and win-win cooperation, promote unity and collaboration, uphold multilateralism, and jointly resist the headwinds of unilateralism and the law of the jungle, thereby injecting more certainty into the world," Guo said.
