Xi, Scholz to expand 'pie' of shared interests

China and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to stabilizing and consolidating bilateral ties as well as promoting China-Europe cooperation, and vowed to expand the "pie" of their shared interests and work together to uphold regional and global peace and security.

Conference focuses on wetlands

The 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP14) opens in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Saturday, and runs to Nov 13 in Wuhan and Geneva, Switzerland with a declaration to be released and dozens of wetland forums to be held, forestry officials said.
