Lin'an, a thriving center of ancient culture, is defined and nourished by the essence of mountains and rivers.

Like twin sentinels, the East and West Tianmu Mountains guard the Tiaoxi, Tianmu and Changhua rivers, enabling magnificent weather patterns that range from snow on Qianqiu Pass to wind and rain in Shuangxi of Changhua town or brilliant sunshine painting the picturesque mountain vistas and hidden fishing villages.

Lin'an residents enjoy a full life, and in recent years, scientific and technological innovation, along with cultural and ecological advancements, have become features of the area.

"Countless mountain flowers bloom along the paddy-field paths, passers-by jostle to look as a jade-green carriage arrives." Ten centuries have passed since the great writer Su Shi penned those famous lines about Lin'an — and it is still a place to be admired for fostering a prosperous economy and enriching the lives of residents.
