CR24 bores new tunnel for key HSR

Wenling-Yuhuan High-speed Railway in the Yangtze River Delta region inched toward completion as State builder China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp began work on another tunnel. CR24, China Railway Construction Corp's unit engaged in the business in East China, said it bored the Yuanbaoshan Tunnel earlier this month. Some 87 percent of the HSR works are bridge and tunnel projects. The HSR construction is on a steady track and is scheduled to complete by 2025.

Postal industry Jan-Oct revenue up

The Chinese postal industry's January-October revenue grew 11.5 percent year-on-year to 1.24 trillion yuan ($174.03 billion);volumes grew more than 14 percent to 129.72 billion parcels, according to the State Post Bureau.

French aviation firm opens Shanghai unit

French company Dedienne Aerospace has set up a factory in Shanghai to further explore China's fast-growing aviation maintenance market. In the next three years, the Shanghai factory is expected to produce 100 aero-engine brackets per year, all for sale in the Chinese market, said Guillaume Justamon, sales and marketing director of Dedienne Aerospace, at the factory inauguration ceremony on Tuesday. According to the long-term development plan, the factory will become one of the company's three major factories globally, mainly serving the Asian market, Justamon said.
