Chinese scientists unveil the world's first AI model for lunar exploration

GUIYANG — The world's first professional, multimodal large-language model for the field of lunar science has been released in China to significantly accelerate the processing speed of massive amounts of data from the moon.
The new tool, from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Geochemistry and Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, made its debut at the China International Big Data Industry Expo in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.
The institute has built a comprehensive "digital moon" platform with the world's most complete databank related to lunar exploration.
