Performance art adds panache to business event
The annual China International Import Expo is not just a platform for business cooperation but cultural exchanges.
This year, the Urban Reception Room Exhibition Area, alongside the Chinese Time-Honored Brands Exhibition Area; Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Area; National Pedestrian Street Exhibition Area and China Tourism Exhibition Area, have been reintroduced to showcase the cultural, economic, trade, urban development and local customs of diverse regions across China.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. In order to celebrate the close ties between the two countries, flash mob events are taking place at the CIIE.
This year, more than 200 artistic performances by both foreign and Chinese artists are being showcased in the Central Square of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with a focus on presenting the distinctive cultural and artistic styles from across the globe.
Notably, a delegation of artists from Bhutan is making its inaugural appearance at the CIIE this year. Through performance, they are highlighting Bhutan's rich cultural heritage and unique folk traditions. These presentations help to elevate Bhutan's visibility in China, foster increased exchanges and collaborations in trade, culture and tourism, and play a role in advancing the development of Sino-Bhutanese relations.
The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), also known as the Four-Leaf Clover, serves as an important platform for promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
Let us experience the beauty of cultural exchanges and mutual learning at the CIIE!
