WELCOME ADDRESS

The China International Import Expo, or the CIIE, is the world's first import-themed national-level expo and a pioneering event in the history of global trade. Hosting the CIIE is a major decision adopted by the Chinese government to pursue a new round of high-level opening-up and to widen market access for the rest of the world.

Since its first edition in 2018, the CIIE has gained wider international influence. It has become a showcase of China's new development paradigm, a platform for high-standard opening-up and a public good for the whole world.

The seventh CIIE includes the Comprehensive Country Exhibition, Enterprise and Business Exhibition, a number of supporting activities and cultural exchange events, with this year's Hongqiao International Economic Forum running concurrently with the expo.

We sincerely welcome government officials, business communities, exhibitors and professional buyers from across the world to participate in the 2024 CIIE and to explore the Chinese market. China will continue to open its doors and work with all countries, regions and international organizations to promote the common prosperity of the world economy and trade.
