Provinces discuss innovation, growth
A group of provinces, including economic powerhouses in East China, have kick-started the Year of the Snake with their first meetings focusing on upcoming measures to foster innovation and bolster the real economy, providing robust support for China's stable economic development, said experts.
These gatherings underscored concerted efforts to align with the directives outlined in the 2024 Central Economic Work Conference. With the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) approaching its conclusion, these provinces are intensifying efforts to meet their economic targets for 2025, laying a robust foundation for the next phase of development.
East China's Jiangsu province held a meeting emphasizing innovation and the development of manufacturing. It will promote the establishment of a globally influential industrial technology innovation center and an internationally competitive advanced manufacturing base.
