Kim oversees testing of defense missiles

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Saturday test-fired two improved types of new air defense missiles in a bid to examine their combat capabilities, with Kim Jongun, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, overseeing the event, the Korean Central News Agency reported on Sunday. The new air defense missile weapon systems demonstrated superior combat capabilities of fast response to various aerial targets, such as attack drones and cruise missiles, KCNA reported.
