'New starting point' for 75-year ties

When President Xi Jinping arrived at Budapest Airport on Wednesday night for a state visit to Hungary, he received a bouquet of flowers from Tamara Olah, a 21-year-old woman who had presented him with flowers 15 years ago during the then vice-president's trip to the country.

More cities to open flights to Hungary

The number of Chinese cities with direct flights to Budapest will increase to seven starting this summer, including Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Guangdong province, making Hungary the most frequented destination for Chinese tourists in Central and Eastern Europe, said Konnyid Laszlo, head of the National Tourism Agency of Hungary.
